Read-Out Serviceability Reports

Aviation Read-Out Serviceability Reports

Read-out serviceability reports of flight data recorder, cockpit voice recorder and combined flight data recorder are required by Civil Aviation Authority during aircraft inspections, aircraft maintenance, serviceability, audits as well as for an aircraft continuing airworthiness.

Continuing Airworthiness

As per ICAO ANNEX 6: ICAO Annex 6, Part I: 6.3.4.3; ICAO Annex 6, Part II, Section II: 2.4.16.4.4; ICAO Annex 6, Part III, Section II: 4.3.4.3:

 “The operator shall conduct operational checks and evaluations of recordings from the flight recorder systems to ensure the continued serviceability of the recorders.”

Flight Data Technologies assists in creation of flight data recorder, cockpit voice recorder and combined flight data recorder operability and serviceability reports. The flight data report is created using Flight Data Technologies template or client’s sample. The flight data report is created conducting an analysis of the recorded data to unsure the recorder is operating correctly.

The flight data report is created based on the requirements below

For Flight Recorders: 

  • ICAO Annex 6, Part I: 6.3.1 Notes
  • ICAO Annex 6, Part II: 2.4.16.1 Notes
  • ICAO Annex 6, Part III, Section II: 4.3.1 Notes
  • ICAO Annex 6, Part III, Section III: 4.7.1 Notes

For Combined Recorders:

  • ICAO Annex 6, Part I: 6.3.4.5; 6.3.4.5.1R; 6.3.4.5.2; 6.3.4.5.3R; 6.3.4.5.4R
  • ICAO Annex 6, Part II, Section III: 3.6.3.3R
  • ICAO Annex 6, Part III, Section II; 4.3, Note 2
  • ICAO Annex 6, Part III, Section III:4.7, Note 

The report is also created in conformity with FAR 121.344(d; F), Appendix M 34 parameter requirement FAA AC20-141B and JAR OPS 1.715.

Serviceability report for each 600 hours/12 months or 1200 hours/24 months of flight data recorder, cockpit voice recorder and combined flight data recorder operations is also required by the manufacturers.

CVR Report 

Based on received samples of previously recorded voice recorders, Flight Data Technologies has capabilities to verify that Pilot’s, Copilot’s and area microphones are on the correct channels, and can be replayed. A report will be created based on the customer requirements.
